NAUS Project

NAUS Project (New AIS Utilities for Ships): an integrated GNSS, AIS and navigation instruments and sensors system for monitoring of Ocean maritime traffic, able to report to a Ground Station, using both terrestrial communication networks and AIS over commercial TLC satellites in Ka/Ku bands,  the real-time situation of a specific ship or a commercial fleet and of other vessels in the area, to improve navigation security and implement a wheater-based routing system of fleets

In the Consortium, Blue Thread developed the onboard AIS-based Marine Terminal and Transponder  and integrated its Space Compass to the satellite communication system.
